
This proposal introduces a passive, fluid-based orientation indicator designedto assist in spatial disorientation scenarios. By leveraging density-driven phaseseparation (e.g., oil and water) under gravity, the system provides a reliable visualreference of the “down” direction without requiring power, calibration, orelectronic sensors.The system is intended as a supplementary safety mechanism, particularly inenvironments where conventional inertial measurement systems (IMU) may fail,drift, or become unreliable.
