This position paper outlines how the Digital Research Alliance of Canada (the Alliance), its partners, and the broader digital research infrastructure community can collectively meet challenges related to fragmentation, institutional capacity, and the reuse of data for high-impact, interdisciplinary, and AI-enabled research. It provides a brief overview of the research data landscape and proposes how the Canadian Research Data Platform (CRDP) can leverage shared infrastructure, national services, and domain expertise to maximize the value of research data for Canadians.
