
Context The talk was given on 2026-03-04 as an introduction to the Data Steward Services at the Department of Geography and Regional Research (IfGR) of the University of Vienna. Abstract In this presentation we introduce Research Data Management (RDM) principles across the data lifecycle with a focus on enabling FAIR, secure, and compliant research. We outline the role of the Data Steward Services, showcasing the guidance, tools, and training we can provide to help researchers create DMPs, meet funder and institutional policies, and maximize the impact and reusability of their data.
