Abstract

This document provides the supplementary material for the manuscript entitled “Process mining: a methodology to assess patients’ care pathways and improve health outcomes”. Its primary objective is to offer technical documentation and extended results complementing the study's findings. This research is framed within the national coordinated project “CONCEPT: Efficiency and effectiveness of chronic care in the Spanish National Health System” (see details here), lead by Enrique Bernal-Delgado, MD PhD, Senior Researcher in Health Services and Policy Research in the Data Science for Health Services and Policy Research group at the Aragon Health Sciences Institute, IACS. This study was partially funded through the Aragonese Government funding programme 2023-2025 Orden CUS/1638/2022, of 8th of November (Grupo B02_23R) and the projects CONCEPT-STROKE (PI19/00154), CONCEPT-DIABETES (PI19/00381), REDISSEC: Red de Investigación en Servicios de Salud en Enfermedades Crónicas (RD16/0001/0007) and RICCAPS: Red de Investigación en cronicidad, atención primaria y promoción de la salud (RD21/0016/0023) funded by Instituto de Salud Carlos III and co-funded by European Union (ERDF/ESF "Investing in your future").
