BEPSII-TS: A Global Historical Dataset of Temperature and Salinity in Sea-Ice Cores

Abstract

The BEPSII-TS data set is a global historical dataset of temperature and salinity from sea-ice cores. It has been collated in the framework of BEPSII (Biogeochemical Exchange Processes at Sea Ice Interfaces). How to contribute ? We are still expanding our database. Some seasons are still not well covered. Temperature data are sparse. Your data could make a difference! To be considered, a data record should: Be referenced in space and time (lat, lon, date), Contain at least one temperature or salinity profile, Follow the ASPeCt log-sheet format (see template). Send data to martin.vancoppenolle@locean.ipsl.fr and elise.ortega@locean.ipsl.fr. We would incorporate them in the next version and add you as a contributor.
