Abstract

This dataset provides a comprehensive overview of Israel's economic impact over the last five years (2020–2024), compiled from Perplexity AI aggregating data from TradingEconomics, World Bank, IMF, Bank of Israel, Jefferies, Wikipedia, Times of Israel, OECD, and other sources. The database is structured in 9 tables covering: (1) Main macroeconomic indicators (GDP growth, GDP per capita, inflation, unemployment, trade balance, government deficit, defense spending, public debt); (2) Financial markets and investment (TA-125 stock index, shekel/USD exchange rate, FDI inflows, Bank of Israel interest rates); (3) Technology and startup ecosystem (startup funding, tech exports, R&D spending); (4) Energy sector (natural gas production and exports); (5) Trade and tourism (agriculture exports, tourism revenue, Abraham Accords trade); (6) Credit ratings (Moody's, Fitch); (7) 2023 war quarterly GDP impact; (8) Key economic factors (COVID-19, judicial reform protests, Hamas war October 2023, Leviathan gas field, Abraham Accords, Bank of Israel rate hikes, Moody's downgrade); (9) Five-year summary with absolute and percentage changes. This dataset is intended for economists, researchers, and analysts studying Israel's economic performance, geopolitical risk, and Middle East regional economic dynamics.
