The European Peatland Policy Dataset (March 2026 Snapshot)

Abstract

This dataset (in XLSX and JSON formats) represents a static snapshot of the first comprehensive European Peatland Policy Dataset, as of March 2026. This snapshot contains 412 peatland-affecting policies catalogued across 27 countries and 22 languages, spanning United Nations, European Union, national, and sub-national levels. Each element of the table or json list contains metadata about the policy. The most up-to-date JSON of the European Peatland Policy Portal's Policy Dataset can be accessed on our website at this data endpoint: https://peatlandpolicyportal.eu/policydata
