Abstract: This article attempts to broaden the understanding of architecture and urban planning of the 1960s and 1970s, from its context with the avant-garde music, art, literature, poetry and aesthetics. The notion of "open work" and the comparison of this principle in the various arts and architecture organizes the arguments.
