Abstract: This text aims to establish a relationship between the modern architecture in Brazil, especially the Carioca school of architecture, and the movement neoconcreto, on the assumption that both share some similarities in dealing with the geometric forms and procedures. This approach wants to ask a new angle the question of "formalism" in modernist architecture.
