Abstract

Climate change is intensifying environmental stressors in European bivalve aquaculture, increasing vulnerability to heatwaves and disease. Strengthening resilience through selective breeding is emerging as a key strategy, with the IGNITION project advancing genomic tools to support more robust and sustainable production systems.
