Biogeographic patterns and drivers of soil viromes

Abstract

We offer an all-encompassing compilation of soil virome data through the Global Soil Virome (GSV) dataset, which has meticulously analyzed 1,824 soil metagenomes from across the globe. This dataset not only comprises the viral sequences but also encompasses their quality metrics, extensive taxonomic details, and comprehensive Operational Taxonomic Unit (OTU) tables. In addition, our dataset is augmented with a predictive map delineating soil viral diversity and is supported by supplementary materials that underscore the precision and validity of this map.
