
This article discusses the etiological factors and pathogenetic mechanisms of surgical diseases of the oral cavity. The role of odontogenic infections, trauma, microbial activity, and systemic conditions in the development of pathological processes is analyzed. Particular attention is given to inflammatory reactions in oral tissues and their influence on the progression of maxillofacial diseases. The importance of early diagnosis, effective treatment, and preventive measures in surgical dentistry is also emphasized.
