Tadqiqotda ilk matematik tasavvurlarning psixologik-pedagogik asoslari, ularningyoshga xos xususiyatlari va rivojlanish bosqichlari yoritilgan. Shuningdek, bolalarda dastlabki matematik ko‘nikmalarnibaholash usullari hamda ularning maktab ta’limiga tayyorgarlikka ta’siri ilmiy jihatdan asoslab berilgan. Maqolada maktabgachata’lim jarayonida matematik tasavvurlarni shakllantirishda qo‘llaniladigan samarali pedagogik metodlar hamdaamaliy tavsiyalar keltirilgan.
