
The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in Uganda has raised concerns about ethical governance and data protection. A qualitative approach will be employed to analyse existing literature and conceptualize ethical governance principles tailored for an African setting. This theoretical framework provides a foundational structure for policymakers, academics, and stakeholders in Uganda to address the ethical challenges of AI integration into data ecosystems. Policymakers should prioritise stakeholder engagement in developing ethical guidelines that balance innovation with societal values.
