Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) in Rwanda represent a unique blend of traditional practices and modern business approaches. The study employed qualitative research methods, including semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders in the Rwandan business sector. A notable theme emerged regarding the successful integration of IKS into financial planning processes, particularly among small-scale entrepreneurs who reported improved decision-making and risk assessment skills. The findings suggest that fostering a deeper understanding and utilization of IKS could enhance the competitiveness of Rwandan businesses in both local and international markets. Policy makers are encouraged to develop frameworks that support the integration of IKS into formal business education and training programmes, thereby equipping future entrepreneurs with a holistic approach to business management.
