Traducción e interpretación de lenguas indígenas: Experiencias desde Oaxaca, México

Abstract

This volume brings together academic and practitioner perspectives on translation and interpretation of indigenous languages in Oaxaca, Mexico. It documents the creation of the first Master's program in Translation and Interpretation of Indigenous Languages at a public university in Latin America (UABJO), developed with support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Contributions address linguistic policies in Mexico, professional training for indigenous-language translators and interpreters, and the challenges of working with indigenous languages in legal and healthcare contexts.
