
Southern Cameroon farmers are facing challenges in increasing crop yields despite traditional agricultural practices. This ethnographic study employed participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and focus group discussions to understand the dynamics between technology use and agricultural outcomes. Farmers reported a significant increase in crop yields (up to 20%) when using technology-enhanced services, particularly with improved seed varieties and irrigation systems. Technology-enhanced agricultural extension services are effective in boosting Southern Cameroon farmers' crop yields. The study highlights the importance of tailored training and support for optimal use. Local governments should invest in technology infrastructure and provide continuous education on best practices to maximise benefits from these services.
