Abstract

Este trabajo presentado en el Seminario Regional de la International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions – División Regional de América Latina y el Caribe (IFLA LAC), analiza el papel de los ecosistemas colaborativos en la transformación de las bibliotecas, tomando como estudio de caso la experiencia de la Red Brasileña de Repositorios Digitales (RBRD). El análisis parte del contexto regional de América Latina y el Caribe, caracterizado por brechas digitales estructurales, infraestructuras fragmentadas y repositorios institucionales que frecuentemente operan de manera aislada. A partir de una aproximación analítica y descriptiva, se examina la estructura, gobernanza y estrategias implementadas por la RBRD, coordinada por el Instituto Brasileño de Información en Ciencia y Tecnología (Ibict). Los resultados evidencian que la articulación en red, basada en gobernanza distribuida, cooperación interinstitucional, formación técnica y encuentros regionales, ha contribuido a fortalecer la interoperabilidad de los repositorios, ampliar la visibilidad de la producción científica y reducir asimetrías técnicas entre instituciones. Asimismo, la experiencia demuestra el potencial de las redes nacionales de repositorios como infraestructuras públicas estratégicas para la ciencia abierta, la democratización del acceso al conocimiento y la promoción de la justicia informacional. Se concluye que los repositorios digitales alcanzan mayor impacto cuando se integran en ecosistemas colaborativos que articulan tecnología, comunidad profesional y políticas públicas.
