Southern African communities in Morocco have rich oral traditions that play a significant role in cultural preservation and historical memory. Qualitative research methods were employed, including participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and archival research in selected Moroccan communities. A notable theme emerged regarding the transmission of oral histories across generations, with over 80% of respondents recalling their ancestors' stories accurately. Oral traditions significantly contribute to understanding Southern African cultural practices and historical narratives in Morocco. Further research should focus on comparing different regions within Morocco for a comprehensive overview.
