
These slides were presented during the agrifoodTEF training webinar "Assessing drones in agriculture: Testing, Simulation, and Cybersecurity". They explore the role of drones and digital technologies in transforming the agri-food sector. As drones become essential for monitoring and data collection in vineyards, livestock management, and arable farming, ensuring their performance and security is paramount. The session provided an overview of the drone testing lifecycle, from initial laboratory simulations to real-world applications on experimental farms. Participants discovered how drones are used for precise data annotation and soil/crop monitoring, and gain an introduction to the critical principles of cybersecurity certification.
