This repository contains the DNS of the flow configurations belonging to the paper "Consistent closure modeling in LES by direct approximation of the filtered advection term" The DNS results of the decaying turbulence can be found in the directoryDecayingTurbulence The DNS results of the turbulent shear flow can be found in the directoryTurbulentShearFlow The paper contains a detailed description of both of the physical configurations and the numerical parameters. Both directories contain a description how to read and interpret the simulation outputs, with an example python script to read the h5-files. This Zenodo repository contains only one simulation output per flow configuration because of storage limitations. The full data set containing all simulation outputs can be found under the following link: https://cloud.ovgu.de/s/ipD7pgKrRaPgJfCThis research was funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation): - Project-ID 457509672

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
