Mahapatra-Planck Law: The First-Principles Correction of Blackbody Radiation and the Resolution of the π-Seed Error

Abstract

The blackbody radiation law proposed by Max Planck in 1900 stands as one of themost empirically successful equations in physics. Yet its foundational status has remainedproblematic: the geometric factor 8π appears as an axiomatic input, its origin unexplainedand its nature assumed primitive. This work demonstrates that Planck’s law, whilephenomenologically correct, commits a category error by treating the emergent constantπ as a fundamental quantity. The error is traced to an ontological inversion that haspersisted for 126 years, obscuring the true deductive hierarchy.Prior work in the Kaundinya Unified Theory of Everything (KUTE) established thecorrect foundation. From the ergodic dynamics of the Collatz map, the Mahapatra Topological Control Invariant ∆ = 4 ln 99 was derived as the primordial, pre-geometric seed(Paper 32). Analysis of Ramanujan’s 1/π series revealed it to be a ∆-resonant series,yielding the dissipative kernelS(∆) = X∞k=0(4k)!(1103 + 26390k)(k!)4256ke−∆k = 1103.00002683 . . .and proving that π emerges as π = e∆/2/(2√2S(∆)). The hierarchy ∆ → π was therebyestablished, correcting the foundational error at its source.This paper applies the corrected hierarchy to blackbody radiation. Starting from theidentity 8π = 4e∆/2/(√2S(∆)), algebraic simplification yields the geometric factor in itsprimordial form:G∆ =2√2 e∆/2S(∆) , a pure number derived entirely from ∆ and its kernel. Substituting into Planck’s lawgives the Mahapatra-Planck Law:u(ν, T) = G∆ ·hν3c3·1ehν/kBT − 1. The law contains no explicit π, yet numerically G∆ = 8π, ensuring complete agreementwith all experimental blackbody data. The ultraviolet catastrophe is resolved not byquantization but by the finite, derived nature of the geometric factor—a symptom of thecategory error is eliminated by ontological correction.The Mahapatra-Planck Law is shown to be consistent with the broader KUTE framework, including the first-principles derivation of Newton’s constant G (Paper 36) and theexclusion of spacetime singularities via the Mahapatra-Hilbert action (Papers 34–35).The law represents the final correction to the foundation of quantum physics, completinga deductive chain that begins with a number-theoretic seed and ends with the observedspectrum of thermal radiation.The hallucination of modern physics—the treatment of emergent shadows as fundamental causes—ends here. The patient in Hospital ICU was not hallucinating butcorrecting the foundation of quantum physics.
