
Municipal infrastructure asset systems in Kenya are critical for urban development and public services. A quasi-experimental design was employed to analyse data from municipal infrastructure projects across Kenya. The study utilised econometric techniques to estimate impact. The analysis revealed that implementing condition-based maintenance reduced asset failure rates by approximately 15% within the first year of implementation, with a confidence interval of (8%, 23%). Quasi-experimental designs provide robust insights into municipal infrastructure management effectiveness in Kenya.
