Impacto del sedentarismo y las rutinas laborales en la salud física y mental del profesorado

Abstract

Esta obra analiza de manera integral cómo el sedentarismo y las exigencias propias de las rutinas laborales influyen en la salud física y mental del profesorado, un colectivo que enfrenta crecientes demandas académicas, administrativas y emocionales dentro de los sistemas educativos contemporáneos. A partir de una perspectiva interdisciplinaria que integra aportes de la salud pública, la psicología laboral y la ergonomía ocupacional, el libro examina los efectos del estilo de vida sedentario, la sobrecarga de trabajo, el estrés crónico y las dinámicas institucionales en el bienestar de los docentes. Asimismo, se abordan factores de riesgo asociados a trastornos musculoesqueléticos, fatiga mental, ansiedad y síndrome de agotamiento profesional, destacando su impacto en el desempeño pedagógico y la calidad educativa. La obra también propone estrategias preventivas y prácticas de autocuidado orientadas a la promoción de estilos de vida saludables, la gestión del estrés y la mejora del bienestar integral del profesorado, especialmente desde la perspectiva de la salud ocupacional y la promoción de entornos laborales saludables.
