
Climate change exacerbates vulnerability in African desert regions, necessitating strategic adaptation financing to mitigate impacts. A mixed-methods approach combining quantitative climate impact assessments and qualitative stakeholder interviews was employed to evaluate regional adaptation needs and strategies. Analysis revealed that the average annual temperature increase in the study area is projected at 1.5°C by , with significant implications for water scarcity and agricultural productivity. The findings underscore the urgent need for targeted climate justice-focused adaptation financing to support vulnerable communities in these regions. Policy recommendations include prioritising early warning systems for droughts and investing in resilient infrastructure that considers local socio-economic conditions. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
