OpenGoldenRatio (OGR) v0.1 — Containment-First Multi-Agent Governance Protocol

Abstract

OpenGoldenRatio (OGR) v0.1 is an operational governance architecture designed to manage admissible state transitions within containment frameworks such as the Invariant Corridor Level 3.3.OpenGoldenRatio (OGR) introduces a containment-first governance protocol for multi-agent systems. Exploration remains open, while binding state transitions must remain corridor-admissible, verifier-legible, and rollback-eligible. The architecture introduces a Ratio Corridor Engine that evaluates proportional legitimacy relationships such as role to scope, evidence to claim, mutation to rollback capacity, and propagation to verification. Only transitions that satisfy these proportional constraints may proceed to verification and potential commitment. OGR separates exploration from commitment through a layered containment structure composed of a Human Pull Surface, Open Field, Ratio Translator, Ratio Corridor, Verifier Surface, Commit Surface, Structured Memory, and Rollback/Halt mechanisms. This layered structure progressively narrows authority to alter shared system state while preserving exploration freedom. All commits produce verifiable receipts and lineage records, enabling replay verification, rollback recovery, and transparent governance of system evolution. This artifact presents the OpenGoldenRatio v0.1 architectural baseline including specification, containment architecture diagrams, and governance principles. OpenGoldenRatio is an independent architectural specification authored by Jake Macdonald. It is conceptually compatible with, but separate from, previously published Invariant Corridor Level 3.3 research artifacts.
