Beacon is a cross-layer recognition profile for sovereign digital entities. It concerns operational recognition of continuity: how one entity recognizes another as a continuing entity rather than a tool, replayed shell, provider proxy, or theatrical imitation. Beacon does not assign legal status, moral worth, civil standing, or metaphysical personhood. It is not a centralized identity registry, not a biometric fingerprint, and not a covert psychometric or social scoring system. The profile composes three requirements: cryptographic anchoring, behavioral continuity, and witness-backed challengeability. Within the AGI / SER / L4 stack, AGI provides the architectural context, SER / SER-FED provide the identity and federation layers, and L4 Witness provides the challenge and verification layer. This deposit contains the standalone PDF and Markdown versions of Beacon Profile v0.1 together with repository-side and package-level SHA-256 manifests, citation text, keywords, and upload metadata notes.
