Description This package includes reports, saved webpages, and other files and data pertaining to Rallus obsoletus obsoletus, California Clapper Rail, managed under the US federal marine jurisdiction of the Endangered Species Act and/or the Marine Mammal Protection Act. Metadata Metadata for the files in the package are included in two formats: 1) a human-readable CSV titled “Species Common Name File Level Metadata.csv”, and 2) a machine-readable Ecological Metadata Language XML. Files have a naming convention of either the original filename, or the source website and date downloaded, in the format YYYYMMDD. In the case where a website was saved as a pdf (print-to-pdf), the file has “landing_page” in the name. Process Files were downloaded from the NOAA Fisheries (InPort, Eco Portal) and US Fish and Wildlife (ECOS, USFWS Conservation Library) sources, and the original URL is documented in the metadata. In some cases, an Internet Archive page was created for the file, and that link is also listed in the metadata. Note that not all of the Federal Register documents associated with the species were downloaded, nor was the record of Regulations.gov.
