
This video showcases the new exchange feature of the TeSS Platform. It was developed as part of the mTeSS-X project. The video shows the following steps in order: Start at PaN Training, a TeSS based training catalogue Go to ELIXIR TeSS, another TeSS based training catalogue Discover training material on Python in ELIXIR TeSS Add new source that gets metadata via the OAI-PMH endpoint of ELIXIR TeSS to PaN Training Add a filter so that the keywords of imported materials must include "Python" Test the source and discover that the imported materials would include beginner materials Edit the source so that only Python materials where the difficulty level is not "Beginner" are imported Test the source again Manually start the ingestion process in PaN Training, which would normally happen every night, using a terminal window Find that the Python training materials from ELIXIR TeSS are now available in PaN Training Find a particular imported training material on advanced Python that is classified as intermediate in the TeSS metadata Update the metadata of that material in ELIXIR TeSS to set the difficulty level to "Advanced" Manually start the ingestion process in PaN Training again Refresh the page to find that the updated metadata is now also updated in PaN Training This work was supported through the Open Science Clusters’ Action for Research and Society (OSCARS) European project under grant agreement Nº101129751.
