In this article, the author discusses the problems associated with the development of acoustoelectronic devices for modern information and communication systems. Using the acousto-optical method, acousto-electronic materials from the langasite group are studied. Crystals were measured for their elastic and photoelastic constants, as well as their nonlinear parameters. The anisotropy of photoelastic properties of Langasite crystal was studied and relevant results were obtained. The effective section of the Acousto-optical quality factor (M2) was determined for this crystal.
