The Standard Model of particle physics has twenty-six free parameters. This document presents the first formal taxonomy of those constants organised not by experimental origin or Standard Model sector, but by the operation the universe performs when each constant appears. Six operations are identified: Scaling (sets absolute magnitudes), Coupling (fixes interaction strengths), Transitioning (marks where operative geometry changes level), Weighting (assigns inertia), Rotating (specifies generation misalignment), and Orienting (fixes CP phase). Each operation has a distinct derivation architecture within Pentagon Physics. Together they account for all twenty-six constants with zero free parameters. This is version α (Alpha), the first formal taxonomy. It will be revised as the framework matures. The designation is deliberate: α is both the version marker and the first constant in the Coupling category.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
