This article scientifically substantiates the theoretical and methodological foundations, didactic model, and pedagogical technology for developing written speech in deaf children. The psychophysiological features and compensatory mechanisms of written speech formation were analyzed. The developed didactic model based on multimodal education and visual-kinesthetic methods was tested experimentally. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in students' written speech competence.
