
This article examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in developing students’ communicative competence in Russian language classes. In the context of educational digitalization, AI-based technologies are becoming effective tools for enhancing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, as well as increasing learners’ motivation and supporting personalized instruction. The study is based on a quasi-experimental design, including diagnostic testing, questionnaires, classroom observation, and analysis of students’ oral and written performance. The findings demonstrate that AI-supported instruction positively influences communicative competence and learner engagement.
