Abstract

La Mujer de Walter y Otras Historias reúne cuatro narrativas situadas entre Europa y América Latina que exploran, desde la experiencia vivida y la ficción declarada, algunos de los aspectos más complejos de la conducta humana. A través de episodios aparentemente cotidianos, el autor examina cómo la percepción, la memoria y las circunstancias sociales influyen en las decisiones individuales y en la interpretación que las personas hacen de los actos propios y ajenos. Las historias se desarrollan en contextos culturales diversos y muestran personajes enfrentados a situaciones en las que las certezas morales y psicológicas se vuelven ambiguas. En ese espacio intermedio entre relato autobiográfico y ficción literaria, el libro propone una reflexión sobre la naturaleza del autoengaño, la fragilidad de nuestras convicciones y la manera en que los seres humanos construyen sentido a partir de experiencias incompletas o contradictorias. Más allá de su dimensión narrativa, la obra puede leerse también como una exploración sobre la psicología de la percepción social y las formas en que los individuos interpretan la realidad que comparten con otros.
