Structural Coordinates of the History of Civilization (Volume IV: Patterns): A Self-as-an-End Application / 文明史的结构坐标(第四篇:模式):Self-as-an-End框架的文明史应用

Abstract

Fourth and final volume. Formally identifies six structural patterns from the full set of positions across the first three volumes: (1) strong expansion inertia of the institutional layer in the absence of explicit contraction mechanisms; (2) the relational layer as colonization's transmission medium and as buffer against absolute institutional dominance; (3) conditions and fragility of individual-layer emergence; (4) the gradual drift from cultivation to colonization; (5) structural symmetry and complementarity of the three civilizational lines; (6) autocatalytic acceleration of the chisel-construct cycle. Includes a panoramic coordinate table, civilization-history verification of Paper 3's functional asymmetry thesis, a complete self-reflexivity statement, and open questions (India, Islam, America, reformed capitalism, post-WWII, AI as institutional layer). Originally written in Chinese; the English version is a rewrite, not a translation. Keywords: Self-as-an-End, history of civilization, structural patterns, three-layer structure, functional asymmetry thesis, colonization, cultivation, institutional expansion, relational layer, individual layer emergence, chisel-construct cycle, acceleration, self-reflexivity License: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) Resource type: Preprint Language: Multiple languages (Chinese original + English rewrite) Related identifiers: DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18898186 (is continuation of) — Volume I: Ancient DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18898226 (is continuation of) — Volume II: Medieval DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18898257 (is continuation of) — Volume III: Modern DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18727327 (is supplemented by this upload) — Paper 3 DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18842897 (is supplemented by this upload) — Philosophy-of-History Application DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18829136 (is supplemented by this upload) — Consciousness Paper DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18929075 (is continued by) — American Institutional History
