Effects of Self-Interaction and of an Ideal Gas in Binary Mergers of Bosonic Dark Matter Cores

Abstract

This dataset contains the simulation outputs used to produce the figures in the paper"Effects of Self-Interaction and of an Ideal Gas in Binary Mergers of Bosonic Dark Matter Cores". The simulations correspond to numerical evolutions of binary mergers of bosonic dark matter cores, including cases with self-interaction and mergers involving fermion–boson stars. The dataset is divided into two main groups: BSs/: mergers of Boson Stars with different values of the self-interaction parameter g FBSs/: mergers between Fermion–Boson Stars including an ideal gas component Each simulation directory contains time series data of the core mass and density profiles, as well as full density snapshots stored in HDF5 format. A detailed description of the directory structure and file formats is provided in the included README file. If you use this dataset, please cite the associated publication.
