ANALYSE SOCIOLINGUISTIQUE DU LANGAGE MÉDICAL EN CONTEXTE PLURILINGUE : CAS DE LA VILLE DE TOLIARA (MADAGASCAR)

Abstract

Cette recherche, menée dans le domaine de la socio-ethnolinguistique, démontre que Madagascar, un pays composé de plusieurs ethnies, privilégie l’usage du français, du malgache et de ses variantes linguistiques dans les centres médicaux. Cette compétence linguistique s’avère pertinente et nécessaire car elle permet aux personnels médicaux de communiquer entre eux et avec les patients. Les enjeux de l’utilisation de ces langues et parlers soulignent, d’une part, l’appartenance identitaire et socioculturelle de la population et, d’autre part, la présence en permanence du bilinguisme à Madagascar, parce que la langue maternelle, ou le malgache, se trouve constamment utilisée avec le français, reflétant la réalité langagière des Malgaches.
