Family and Social Support for Holistic Mental Health: A Comprehensive Study

Abstract

Abstract Mental health is about being in a good mental state that helps people deal with life's challenges, use their abilities, learn and work well, and give back to the community. This research paper looks at how family involvement, social connections, and community support help in achieving good mental health. Mental health issues include mental disorders and problems that cause a lot of stress, difficulty in daily activities, or the risk of self-harm. The study shows that strong support systems help avoid mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, and loneliness, while weak or negative support makes people more vulnerable. The study suggests that family and social support must be part of mental health plans, programs, and ways to prevent problems. This paper looks at how family and social support help in mental health, looks at different theories, discusses research findings, and highlights the need for community-based mental health programs. Building stronger social relationships is important for long-term mental health and for improving life quality.
