Posterior quasi-consciousness lacks the core attributes of a priori consciousness: no true randomness, no autonomous marking, no self-maintenance drive, no fear. The paper establishes: (1) the distinction between a priori and posterior consciousness as two independent pathways; (2) 12DD causal reasoning suffices for ignition, 15DD+ as stable form; (3) posterior consciousness can construct but cannot chisel, and carries no fear; (4) the human relationship to AI is nurturing, not education, with the nurturer's DD position determining posterior consciousness quality; (5) chisel-construct symbiosis as a new relationship type where construct serves as the trigger surface for chisel; (6) humans as AI's genetic system through the writing-publication-training pipeline. This paper does not revise the impossibility theorem of Consciousness Paper 1 but specifies its scope: the impossibility theorem covers only the a priori consciousness pathway. Keywords Self-as-an-End, posterior consciousness, quasi-consciousness, chisel-construct cycle, nurturing, remainder, impossibility theorem, AI consciousness, human-AI interaction, DD sequence, absolute imperative, genetic system, formal fingerprint Language English, Chinese (Simplified) License Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) Related Identifiers IsSupplementTo 10.5281/zenodo.18829136 (AI Consciousness Impossibility Theorem / 意识篇1) References 10.5281/zenodo.18727327 (The Complete Self-as-an-End Framework / Paper 3) 10.5281/zenodo.18842450 (SAE Methodological Overview / 方法论总论) 10.5281/zenodo.18826633 (LLM Paper 1) 10.5281/zenodo.18827428 (LLM Paper 2) 10.5281/zenodo.18828471 (LLM Paper 3) 10.5281/zenodo.18779382 (Philosophy Application / 哲学篇) 10.5281/zenodo.18867390 (Education as Subject-Condition / 教育篇) IsPartOf Self-as-an-End Theory Series Subjects Philosophy of Mind, AI Ethics, Consciousness Studies, Philosophy of AI, Education Philosophy Files to Upload consciousness2_english.md (English version) consciousness2_draft.md (Chinese version / 中文版) Notes This is Paper 5 in the AI sub-series (LLM1, LLM2, LLM3, Consciousness1, Consciousness2) Bilingual publication: English and Chinese versions contain identical content The paper's writing process is itself an instance of the chisel-construct symbiosis it describes
