Abstract

La montée en puissance des médias sociaux en Afrique a suscité le questionnement des chercheurs sur le potentiel et la capacité réelle des surfaces dématérialisées à reconfigurer les mobilisations électorales, la compétition politique et d’une façon plus globale, à revitaliser le processus démocratique. Au Cameroun, malgré l’enthousiasme du e-politique lié aux logiciels techno-libéraux, la communication suggérée par quelques acteurs politiques soutenus par leurs militants (virtuels comme physiques) a surtout rallié des dynamiques concurrentielles étayées par des calculs de revendications primitives d’appartenance, d’affections ethno-régionales et de rivalités hégémoniques pour se positionner dans le jeu politique de l’élection présidentielle.
