This survey was created in the context of the project RECAST - Reforming Evaluation Criteria for Assessment, Science, and Teams, beneficiary of an institutional pilot grant within the CoaARA Boost Cascade Funding round 2. The questions of the survey were refined during two workshops with the group leaders of the institute, as well as research managers and heads of administrative departments. During these workshops we explored which activites the leaders spend their time on, and which of these are currently not captured by the research assesment strategies at the institute. The purpose of the survey is to determine the value alignment of scientific group leaders and technology platform leaders at the institute. We define it by focusing on the aspect of time allocation: by analyzing the delta between current and desired time investment, we can quantify the discrepancies between the leaders' intrinsic values and their daily functional realities.
