Abstract: Digital is a new way of engaging with customers. And for others still, it represents an entirely new way of doing business. Digital Economy: "Digital economy" is intertwined with the traditional economy making a clear delineation harder. Economy refers to an economy that is base computing technologies. The importance of the present study lies in understanding the growing role of the digital economy in India and its impact on economic development, governance, and society. With the rapid adoption of digital technologies through initiatives such as Digital India, the structure of the Indian economy is undergoing a significant transformation. The main objective were to To analyses and interpret the concept of digital India programme and to understand challenges and opportunities digital economy in India. The vision of digital India is spectacular. It is a concrete step in the direction of building a truly empowered nation. If it succeeds, it is supposed to transform citizen access to multimedia information, content and services.
