Abstract

This study was funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU, in the framework of the iNEST - Interconnected Nord-Est Innovation Ecosystem (iNEST ECS00000043 – CUP E63C22001030007 ). The views and opinions expressed are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union, nor can the European Union be held responsible for them. The dataset was developed as part of the activities carried out by Spoke 8, Research Topic 5 (Sviluppo di un Gemello Digitale dell’Alto Adriatico), Task S8_3 (Setup and preliminary configuration of the WRF model for high-resolution forecasts over the Northern Adriatic area) In this folder you can find an example of the outputs produced and saved daily.Each file is a NetCDF file which contains the following variables:- T (2m)- Wind (10m) (in the two components U and V)- Downward Longwave Radiation Flux at Surface- 2-meter Specific Humidity- Accumulated Non-Convective (Grid-Scale) Precipitation- Downward Shortwave Radiation Flux at Surface- Sea Level PressureEach output is the result of a WRF simulation initialized at 00 UTC with GFS data and has a time extent of 72h. Observational Nudging is performed for the first 3 hours using data collected by MeteoNetwork through weather stations.
