Abstract

Perkembangan Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) dalam dunia pendidikan membuka peluang baru untuk mendukung pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA), termasuk di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama, namun pemetaan jenis AI yang benar-benar digunakan siswa di kelas masih terbatas, khususnya di daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis AI yang dimanfaatkan siswa kelas VIII dalam pembelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu, meliputi penggunaan general AI, AI untuk media interaktif dan visual, manfaat kognitif, serta tanggung jawab penggunaannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan campuran dengan desain survei eksplanatori, melibatkan 20% dari total 189 siswa kelas VIII yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling, dengan pengumpulan data melalui angket skala Likert, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata 66,76% siswa telah mengetahui dan menggunakan AI dalam pembelajaran IPA, dengan persentase 64,86% untuk jenis general AI, 61,19% untuk AI pembelajaran interaktif dan visual, 68,76% terkait manfaat kognitif, dan 72,22% pada aspek tanggung jawab penggunaan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa AI sudah menjadi bagian dari rutinitas belajar siswa, meskipun pemanfaatan media berbasis AR/VR masih tergolong sedang, sehingga sekolah dan guru perlu merancang strategi integrasi AI yang lebih terarah guna mengoptimalkan pemahaman konsep IPA sekaligus menumbuhkan literasi digital dan etika penggunaan teknologi pada peserta didik.
