EVALUATION OF THE QUALITY INDICATORS OF A TABLET-FORM BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUPPLEMENT BASED ON GERANIUM SANGUINEUM

Abstract

The qualitative, organoleptic, physicochemical and technological indicators of the tablet form of a biologically active supplement for gargling, created on the basis of the Geranium sanguineum plant, were studied. The results obtained showed that the developed product complies with the requirements of the national standard. The purpose of the study is to explain the specific properties of the tablet form of a biologically active supplement produced on the basis of local plant raw materials and to evaluate the qualitative indicators. Current statistical data show that the majority of drugs used in the treatment of infectious diseases of the throat are created on the basis of chemical synthesis, and agents obtained on the basis of natural raw materials are used relatively rarely. At the same time, it should be noted that physiologically active natural compounds have an advantage in terms of safety over their synthetic alternatives. Geranium sanguineum contains flavonoids, polyphenols and biologically active antioxidant compounds, the antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects of which are scientifically proven. Glycyrrhiza glabra root is rich in glycyrrhizic acid, saponins, and flavonoids, and has immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties.
