DISTRIBUTION: Endemic to Florida and Texas in the United States of America, but has been introduced in Australia, Fiji, Ghana, Hawaii, Mauritius, Micronesia, St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia.
