A Soil Deal for Europe Mission: 2026 Funding Opportunities & Application Proposal Guidance (Slides Webinar 1 - 2026)

Abstract

The first SOILL-Stepup webinar in the series dedicated to the presentation of the Horizon Europe Mission "A Soil Deal for Europe" and the funding opportunities to set up Mission Soil Living Labs will took place on 2 March 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30 (CET). This practical webinar was designed for applicants preparing proposals under the Mission Soil 2026 Living Labs topics. The session combined a policy and call funding opportunities overview with hands-on proposal tips, especially for Stage 1 outline applications. Representatives from DG AGRI and the European Research Executive Agency (REA) introduced the Mission Soil initiative, outline its vision and expected impacts, and presented the 2026 funding opportunities for establishing Mission Soil Living Labs. The webinar also introduced SOILL, explaining its aim and what SOILL activities applicants should consider in their proposals, as well as how it could support applicants and future Living Labs. In addition to theoretical insights and practical guidance, participants had the opportunity to ask questions directly to DG AGRI and REA during a dedicated live Q&A session.
