The event received support in the form of a complete and representative venue and infrastructure from the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The budget is very limited. The funds allocated are sufficient to cover the honorarium for the technical committee. During the competition, standard operating procedures (SOPs) are applied, but one of the rules of the competition is modified. This competition produced pencak silat champions, who are projected to be sent by the country to compete in the ASEAN University Games, as a follow-up to the national competition. This study concluded that this pencak silat event was well organized. This research provides recommendations to policymakers, which can be useful for the planning of other national sports championships, including optimizing and prioritizing budget management and optimizing promotion and branding through various media platforms.
