CLASSIFICATION OF CEREBRAL PALSY SYNDROME IN CHILDREN AND ITS IMPACT ON PSYCHOMOTOR DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This article is devoted to the problem of cerebral palsy (CP) in children. Cerebral palsy is a group of non-progressive disorders caused by perinatal damage to the central nervous system and characterized by complex impairments of movement, psyche, and speech. The article examines the etiology of CP, major classification forms, early diagnostic signs, and the impact of motor and speech disorders on child development. Modern approaches to correctional and pedagogical intervention are also discussed. Cerebral palsy is characterized by persistent disorders of movement, balance, and posture resulting from damage to the developing brain during the perinatal period..
