In response to the growing demand for professional research data support, Latvia has taken strategic steps to embed data stewardship within its academic institutions. Formation and development of the Latvian Data Steward Network, national initiative to strengthen Open Science and research data management, establishment of a national repository along with an associated website – core components of the project “Support for Practical Implementation of Open Science and Solutions for Research Data Sharing and Participation in the EU Open Science Cloud.”
